3 Tolerance Tips for Surviving a Thick-Skinned Holiday SeasonMichael Anthony | December 13th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, Relationships, World Events
The friends and relatives we will be sharing turkey and mistletoe with can give us a bad case of what I call “epidermis penetratus” – the ability to get underneath our skin. Here are three things all of us – including our 45th president — can do to increase our tolerance, temper our thin skin, and have a holly, jolly Christmas season – or transition to power — no matter which version of Santa comes knocking on our door.
There are three (3) characteristics that any true prophet must display, and Jesus Christ has them all. There is so much wrapped up in the story of Christmas that it would take a lifetime to tell, and then some. If you’re like me, you need a Christmas “reset” to help you appreciate this season in fresh ways. What better way to do that than rediscover the identity of Jesus? I decided to study the Word for how Jesus is our Prophet, Priest and King, and share my studies with my readers.
Successipe (Recipe for Success)Michael Anthony | November 30th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, Relationships, World Events
We Christians in America need a refresher on what it means to speak the truth in love. Equal parts of truth and love must be applied in all areas of life if we expect to enjoy God’s recipe for success. It’s what I’m calling a “successipe.”
Falling Away UnderwayMichael Anthony | November 17th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, World Events
I’m convinced that a great falling away is underway – not among people who don’t claim to be Christians. It’s happening from within, among those who say they are followers of Jesus Christ. It’s happening all around us, with growing momentum – and people within the church are applauding. Is this the great “rebellion” spoken of in 2 Thessalonians, which precedes the return of Jesus Christ?
Open Letter To AmericaMichael Anthony | November 10th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, World Events
At long last, our time of speculation about the next president and presidency is over. This election season served as a stark reminder that while we may be called the “United States,” we are, in fact, a very divided country. It’s time to heal and unite, but healing and unity are always byproducts of something else, a key ingredient so scarce in our all-consuming quest for self-gratification . . .
America will be great again, and we’ll all be stronger together, when you and I return to God with the humble ferocity we see modeled by real believers in the pages of Scripture. We’ve been trying everything else, and we’ve seen where that gets us. Lord help us, literally, if we don’t heed the call at this vital time of history to seek and serve God with all we’ve got. Most likely, we won’t get a second chance this late in the game to try again.
You Need To Master ThisMichael Anthony | November 6th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, Relationships, World Events
It’s something we all need to do – often and genuinely. The inability to do it creates problems in nearly all aspects of life. The problem is, we often don’t know how. The truth is that we make it harder than it really is. I’m talking about how to apologize – and mean it.
Time To Save AmericaMichael Anthony | November 4th, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, World Events
We can’t wait any longer. If there is any hope for spiritual awakening in America, it must begin at a grass-roots level – one person, one family, one church, at a time. This is how widespread spiritual awakening begins. It’s time for real revival, a new “great awakening” in America. Real hope and change needs to begin in God’s house – immediately – regardless of what may happen in the White House.
Are you turning into a person you never thought you’d become? It’s possible to start off on the right foot, and gravitate toward an approach to spiritual “growth” that will leave you dry, empty and wondering how you got there in the first place.
Root or Fruit?Michael Anthony | November 2nd, 2016 | Blog, Leadership, Personal Growth, World Events
There are two ways we can go through life. The first is to fixate on the secondary issues. This takes a great deal of time, energy and motivation because when we only address secondary issues they will always keep returning. At the end of the day, this is a waste of time. Once time is wasted, it can’t be purchased, recycled, replenished or renewed.
