What’s more important: your palace, or God’s? The temple that King Solomon built for God was an elaborate and beautiful building. It took seven years of hard work and dedication to build. As Michael points out in today’s message, it’s easy to have some misplaced admiration for Solomon in this undertaking. While the temple certainly was impressive, Solomon displayed his true priorities by devoting more time and resources into building his own palace.

Do you ever feel like God’s presence has left you? Does He seem far away and uncaring? In today’s message, Michael reminds us that this distance is not what God desires. He desires to be close to us, but He will not force Himself on us. If we have turned our affection and attention to the temporary things of this world and lost interest in seeking God, we’re bound to experience His absence. When we turn our hearts back to Him and seek Him with our whole hearts, His presence will return.

We were destined for an eternity of oppression and separation from God. But then the cross! Think about it! In today’s message, Michael asks us to really contemplate what Christ did for us. Are you living a life that reflects the unfathomable love and grace that was shown to you on the cross?

A prideful man or woman cannot receive salvation while maintaining their pride. We are fallen, weak sinners. We cannot earn God’s forgiveness or favor. The only way we can receive forgiveness is through humbling ourselves and accepting the gift of salvation that Jesus won for us on the cross. As Michael explains in today’s message, the criminals who were crucified next to Christ show us two ways that we can react to the Gospel. We can humble ourselves and receive eternal salvation or reject it and choose eternal damnation.

The Bible was not meant to be an informational handbook. It wasn’t written just for the sake of recording a story for posterity. Every word has been preserved by a God who desires to draw all people to Himself. As Michael explains in today’s message, our world would look drastically different if we were reading the Bible and applying it to our lives. That’s what it’s meant for! It’s meant to be read for the purpose of drawing closer to God and learning how to walk His path in a fallen, hopeless world.

When the Bible mentions Jesus healing the blind, the lame, and the leprous, many times we see Him first telling them that their sins are forgiven. This is an important spiritual concept to understand. Jesus first told the people He healed that their sins were forgiven because He prioritized the eternal as more important then the temporal. Our spiritual life is way more important than our earthly, temporal life. When we focus our eyes on eternal things, we are more likely to look more like Jesus.

There are many skeptics that say the God of the Old Testament is a God of wrath, but the God of the New Testament is a God of love. Today, Michael Anthony will be reminding us that there is only one God and that He is both a God of love as well as a God of justice. In today’s text, we read how God took it very seriously when someone claimed to be a prophet, yet prophesied falsely. There is a great danger when someone say’s they are speaking for God, when really they are speaking from their own flesh.

As Michael Anthony continues his teaching series on the life of Christ, he’ll be explaining how Jesus was not just the greatest Prophet, but He was so much more than that. If you were to ask random people what they thought about Jesus, most of the answers you would get would be: “He was a good teacher”, or “He was a prophet”. Both of these answers are correct, but He wasn’t just a good teacher and wasn’t just a great Prophet, He is the Messiah, the Lamb of God that came to take away the sins of the world!
